Grain of Wheat Bulbs (Set of 2, 4, or 6)
Incandescent grain of wheat bulbs, in pre-packaged sets of 2, 4, or 6. Popular in model railroading, but has many uses in robotics and animatronics. Bulb measures approximately 1/2" x 1/8". Lead length varies as noted in drop-down selector, below. Lead length is approximate. These bulbs are rated at 6 volts (puts out bright white light), but start to glow at about 2 volts. Current draw is approx. 120 mA at 6 volts. Light is emitted 360 degress around the body of the bulb.
Use these bulbs for a white-light source; change the color by using color filters. Useful for general illumination, special effects, color sensing, 360-degree light coverage, and other applications where LEDs are not suitable. Current draw and light output can be limited using a resistor. Can be driven by PWM to dynamically change brightness.
